We're Newlyweds!!

So Ruco and I are finally married, and it really is so much fun!!! There is just a certain level of contentment that comes with living with my best friend and spending time with him daily.
I am starting to blog again..so I want to kind of do a re-cap of all the events from the past month and a half. Firstly, the wedding was amazing. I thought that I would be sad when it was all over, but I am just thankful to have had the opportunity to have such a beautiful and fun wedding!! God was really watching out for us, as it was the most gorgeous day imaginable with a full moon and gorgeous night to follow. Everything went better than I ever dreamed and the 13 months of craziness and planning paid off! The cake, flowers, outside decorations all turned out better than I even hoped! I couldnt believe that I was actually going to marry the sweetest boy that God had created just for me! When the time came for me to walk down the aisle, I felt like I was floating in the sense it was all so surreal. Tara told me I would "float" and I definately did!! I couldnt believe during the ceremony that Ruco cried more than I did. Hes so cute! The reception was so much fun, we all danced the night away. When everyone left to go light the sparkers outside, Ruco and I danced our last dance as our parents watched. That was the most memorable moment to me- it was so personal, and my mom just cried saying, "I cant believe my baby's married"..and I couldnt believe it either! Then Ruco and I drove away to go to our hotel! Everyone was honking at us, I guess reminiscing, since our car said "honk if you remember your first time"...ahaha! Ruco and I actually didnt have any money to get over the toll bridge, so had to tell the guys that we just got married, and he waved and smiled and let us through. It really does feel as though you are in a movie...It was definately the best day of both of our lives!!

Next came our amazing honeymoon in Hawaii. I just cant put into words how great it was just to relax with Ruco and do all of these fun things together we usually dont get to do. There was just a different way of life there. Everyone was so stress-free..Ruco and I even made friends on the island that we ran into at Starbucks every morning, the restaurants, and the beaches. It was such a small town feel, which I definately wasnt expecting from Hawaii!! Ruco was in heaven and had the opportunity to surf a couple days on the North Shore, and I was so excited that he was excited!! We both didnt want to leave and just wanted to pick up and move there!! I guess its not too late..hmm..

Here we are now, finally settled in our beautiful apartment in downtown Pensacola. We are both working and have actually taken over the position jointly as the youth leaders for Allen Memorial Methodist Church. It really is so much fun! The kids are great, and Im sure that there will be plenty more blogs on that! Ruco and I are also having a blast hanging out with my family so much!! We just love them and love being close to them for now! I guess Im all updated and will post later about the things going on with us!!
