grandmothers are fun!

So this weekend was alot of fun! Friday night, we finally had a triple date and went to Georgios Pizza, a little pizza place on Cervantes, really close to where Ruco and I live. We were definately long overdue for this little date, and it was a great time! Ruco always has fun with Chris and Rhett...they are just easy going guys like him!
On Saturday, I had soooo much fun with my mom and Aunt Gwen. We went to get manicures and pedicures and waxes, and then went shopping for something for me to wear to the wedding later that night. Then Ruco and I got on the road for Louisiana!
The wedding was alot of fun! Auntie Kimberley thoroughly enjoys the "donkey butt" song, and "riding the donkey" which she first experienced at my wedding..so she begged me to go request the song so she, her friend Emily, and I could dance. Needless to say, we rode the donkey, the train, and whatever else the rest of the night and had a really fun time! Amanda was soo pretty. Her dress had periwinkle on the top and bottom, and it was just so cute and modern. I liked it alot. Everything was really beautiful, and her cake was my favorite..you can kind of see it in the background of this picture. It was 3 layers and each layer was a different shade of periwinkle. It was very fun.
Amanda is such a sweet friend! We have been friends since we were such little girls...Here is a picture of us playing in the mud. I have it in a frame. Im the one sitting down..and I believe it is Amanda, Theresa and Missy in this one. Every summer since I was soo little, I went to Louisiana and stayed with my grandmama. I would also spend alot of time with my friends there...I basically lived at the Gornors big blue house all summer, and if we werent playing in the mud, we were rolling eachother around in garbage cans or attaching lizards to our ears like earrings. haha. Its so fun to go back now, and see all of my friends with their own babies, and everyone. It really is my second home. On Sunday, we woke up and went to Sunday School and church. I just have to brag for a minute about my grandmother. She teaches the adult sunday school class, and she is the most amazing teacher ever. She just is so funny and loves the Lord with all her heart. Everyone loves her and is astounded by how gentle, patient, and forgiving she is. She truly loves everyone and no matter what, uplifts and encourages everyone. I know that I am so blessed to be loved completely by her, and have her as my grandmother. Truly, there is no other person on this Earth that I would want to be more like. When I was little I used to send her letters in the mail, and she has saved all of them. I would write about how she was my hero, and how I would tell my friends at school that she looks like Barbie..haha! But as I have grown into an adult, I still think that she is an amazing woman that seeks after her Jesus and never seeks after her own motives. She is really so amazing, and I still think she looks like Barbie..=)
After church, we went home and Grandmama, Aunt Kim and I layed in the bed, under the covers, and watched Lifetime while Ruco played with the boys. Eli and Christian got BB guns, so they wanted to show Ruco a thing or two! They were soo cute and soo happy to have Ruco there. Eli said to me, "we just like him more than you!" haha! So I told him, if it werent for me, you wouldnt have Ruco so I am loved by default...I can be ok with that! We really did have a great weekend, and I realized that I am sooo blessed to have the most amazing Christian women and mentors in my life.

I love you too! I do just love those french fries! :) You and Ruco can come to the game if you want. Rhett has the hook-up and you can be put on "the list" so you don't have to pay! YAY! Talking about french fries makes me hungry! :)
