fall fun

this weekend was really so much fun. it all started thursday night when ruco and I went to see ballet pensacola's "sleeping beauty." it was beautiful. the principle dancer was from caracas, venezuela and was awesome. afterwards we went to the afterparty where ruco met her and told her of his travels last summer through venezuela. I didnt have much to add to the conversation besides one of my best friends is from venezuela..and well, we consider her the princess of the country. she was pretty impressed i think. later that night, we met our friends tara and morgan, who now live in england for some coffee at starbucks...it was very fun, but im sure they were thinking..we have the coolest coffee shops in england, starbucks is for schmucks. especially since tara doesnt like coffee, but we still laughed and had a good time!

on friday, we got ready for the funnest party of all time.. the ARC gateway party. it was ruco and heathers work party, and we had a blast. im so jealous i cant work there too. the people they work with are soo very nice, and treat you as though you are long lost family they havent seen in so very long. i was only a little jealous bc heather found a husband and ruco had a girlfriend, and i felt like the third wheel.
after the ARC party, we headed to matt arnolds cousins house for another party. there we found june carter and johny cash (tara and morgan.) they were pretty fun to hang out with..very down to earth despite their fame. it was so much fun to hang out with tara before she left for her travels around the country, and then back to england. ruco and i hope to be in europe by the spring of next year, so we will hopefully see them soon, and go on tons of adventures before ruco and I leave for peace corps.

on saturday, ruco and I met heather and rhett for some yummy moes lunch where i got to hang out with my favorite niece, aubbie which was fulfilling. then ruco and i headed to barnes and nobles. i picked out a book and we sat in the cafe area. the book i picked out and later bought is awesome, i will have to write another blog about it. its a christian book on friendships between women..how powerful they are, and at the same time how they can be very painful. i was hysterically crying repeatedly in the middle of barnes and nobles, much to my husbands dismay. im glad ruco doesnt really get embarrassed by my emotionality. later that night, we went to a haunted maze with my family and heather and rhett. it was very fun. especially when i was seperated from the rest of the group, all alone, and backed into a corner of the maze with the chainsaw guy running after me. i think i will have nightmares for at least a month.
yesterday was just a lazy sunday. after church/lunch, ruco and i came home, and watched the flavor of love marathon. it was wonderfully romantic.
i hope everyone has a very fun-filled halloween tomorrow and enjoys their week.
dont worry mama vdm, ruco and i are so very busy with your very special 50th birthday present and will miss you this weekend as you are celebrating!
