Trip to Cincinnati!

This weekend was my long awaited trip to Cincinnati to visit my little jillian. Cincinnati was gorgeous in Springtime with all the tulips everywhere and the perfect mild sunny weather! I had so much fun meeting all of Jill and Justins friends, who are all awesome Godly married couples and finally seeing their CUTE house for the first time. On Friday night, I spent the day with Jill and Alex, which was so fun. He really is sooo cute!! We hung out with friends and went to Olive Garden, and on Saturday we spent the day together. We went to the Cincinnati Zoo and Gardens, and then went down by the river and shopped around and ate at Deweys Pizza (named after Jill,) which had the BEST pizza! That night we had a bar-b que and I kicked butt at cornhole! On Sunday, we went to the Mannys church home, which was so awesome. Jill, I seriously loved your church! We sang that song..."Did you feel the mountains tremble" and Jill reminded me of our freshman year in college, all of us girls-me, jill, danielle, christi, katie, and jo... screaming and singing at the tops of our lungs, jumping on the bed...and I started thinking...."What 18 year olds do that?!!" I started crying when I thought of the amazing friends God has surrounded me with at such a young age, and how he has shielded and protected me from so much. We then went home and Justin grilled some great hamburgers, and then Jill and I went shopping again, and went home to get justin for CHIPOTLE! I laid in bed with Jill for one last night talking and I cant help but think to cherish our old worn friendship, its like your favorite pair of jeans. The kind of friendship were it is comfortable, and you dont have to say anything at all... but then again, you can talk about the inner most layers of your heart without feeling ashamed. On Monday night, on our way home, we stopped in Chattanooga to see my little Danielle as well, and I just loved spending time with her and Len! They are so fun to be with. I just really had a fun weekend, and so did my Ruco with his best friend Nick and his dad, Ed. Ruco was so sad to leave his friend, and I feel so blessed to have friends like that...eternal friends!

Aww...it looks like ya'll had so much fun!! And you two really are the prettiest little blonde ever!! I love friendships like that as well, where you just feel comfortable and at ease. Like you don't have to impress anyone and you can just be yourself. Those friendships are definitely something to be cherished because they are few and far between! I love you!

I agree with you and Heather! Gotta love good friends! And the whole reference to a good pair of Jeans reminded me so much of The Hills. (if you watch it) I remember Lauren making a reference to "a good roommate is like a great pair of jeans" And now I've just embarrassed myself by admitting to watch The Hills at 24 years old! haha!!

It looks like you two had SO much fun! I can't wait to be in your arms in just a few weeks myself. I'm so glad our group of friends has been blessed with friends close to our heart, and that we love each other no matter what! I know those friends (like YOU!) are so special and rare, and I just love you so much!

Awww, tor, I just read the comment that you left me and it made me tear up (okay, I cried)! I love thinking back to those times, in our britney spears glasses (back when she was cool) and short shorts and ponytails on top of our heads and Madussa who lived upstairs and her little dogs too and you singing all the wrong words because you'd rather make them up yourself (which I was glad to correct every chance I got =) and learning Tate high school cheerleading dances (even though you hated cheerleading) and going to BCM formal with no boys!!! (except James C....random) and yelling random things about Jesus (and our non-existent sex lives) with our heads out the windows of speeding cars and .......well everything. Was it really that fun and crazy or are we totally making this up??? I think it was. God truly does provide, I know he did for me. when I had not one friend or family member in the state of florida he provided only the best for me. I love you!

Hey Kristi!

Sorry it took so long to respond... We're in Canada right now. We're here for 2 weeks to celebrate our 1-year anniversary.
We decided to change our plans and do the cruise next time. Are you and Ruco doing something special? Happy (Almost) First Year Anniversary!
Take Care!
