On Saturday, we packed a picnic lunch and went to the beach, where we all got fried! We later went out to dinner that night at Coach N Four with my entire family...it was soo good, and we cant wait to go back again for Heather and Rhetts rehearsal dinner! On Sunday, Rucos mom talked in church about their ministry with Campus Crusade for Christ. I love hearing what they do and how faithful they are in their work for God. What is more amazing to me though, is that they are faithful in their home, they are so incredibly loving and forgiving and SWEET!! After church we went to MOES, mamma's favorite place!! On Monday, we had a pool party with my family and then went out for sushi, where we had the best life talks. I honestly just feel grounded when I am talking with Rucos mom. She reminds me of what is important in life, and she enjoys so much the little things in life. She doesnt make me feel like my house has to be perfect before she comes over, or that she is judging or critiquing me. When I am with her, I feel like I am home. I am where I am supposed to be, and I am so loved just being who I am! I was captivated by this family the first time I met them. I visited them when they were living in Orlando five years ago. When I was leaving, all 5 of us (Rucos parents, brother and I) stood in the front yard in a circle, and his parents prayed for our safe travel back to FSU. I cried as I was driving away, because it was such a wonderful weekend. I love the wonderful husband and the wonderful family God has blessed me with, and I love that it is more than enough to be who I am with them.
Because shes just so cute:
