Im the princess of Stockholm!

The title of this blog is just for Ruco and Aron's enjoyment! :) Our vacation in Sweden was so, so much fun. It exceeded any expectations I did or didn't have. I guess I wasn't sure how it would be just hanging with the guys, but we had such a great time and I laughed and laughed! We were so blessed to have five days to spend in Stockholm with the Hendrix family, they were so very hospitable! We really had a blast! On the first day, Aron took us to the Vasa Museum. The Vasa is a ship from the 1600s that is just undescribable. It looks like a HUGE pirate ship! I believe it was found again in the 1950s and just brought to this museum in Stockholm in 1990. Its an amazing and awe-inspiring sight. I believe it is one of the 1001 sights to see before you die, if that matters. The next day, we went to the beach in Stockholm, and it was so gorgeous. On our third day, we went on a 3 hour boat tour around the islands of Stockholm. Stockholm is comprised of many islands which made it so cool. We made so many stops on the boat picking up people who had their homes there on one of the small islands. You could see where the mail also comes by boat and how they wait on the boat to come to go into town. It was so neat, and of course Ruco and I daydream again how we could live in a little house like that and run a bed and breakfast or a coffee house and navigate our way around on a little boat! We are always dreaming up ideas!! We actually got off the boat on one of the bigger islands and had lunch and walked around, it was so cool! We had so much fun walking around Stockholm and all the little islands! It is always so awesome to go to a new place and learn about a new culture and language for the very first time. It was also so great spending time with Aron and having good life talks at random street cafes over the best coffee! Im sure it will not be our last time in Sweden!!
Now I am snuggled in my bed in France at my in-laws house. I always love being here, Im just the happiest when I am here. The boys have been getting ready for our 4 week road trip through Spain and into Northern Africa today. We leave on the 19th, right after my family leaves. While they were playing with all the gadgets and making sure the land cruiser? was ready to go, we were preparing lunch. We had a great lunch today with lots of cheeses and the best french bread! I love all the food we eat when we we are here! Anyway, I miss you all so very much and haven't been thinking too much that I might not see some of you before we leave for Africa. I don't think it has hit me yet. I will try to post another blog after the Burgoynes leave about our vacation with them, but after that, I don't think I will be able to access internet on our road trip or call very often. :( You will all be in my thoughts and prayers!!

ps-All pics taken by Ruco because I left my camera accidentally in the states. :)

I think if you'd stayed the Swedes would have abolished the current monarchy and really made you the princess of Stockholm. Enjoy the Africa trip. Hopefully myself and someone else will come visit you in Africa in the next year or two.
