WE ARE IN AFRICA!! Take 2

Hello everyone, I wanted to write and say that we are HERE! We made it safe and sound last night in Kampala-the capital of Uganda. We dont have any pictures yet, so I will have to post some a bit later! Our impressions so far are that the SP staff here in Uganda are incredibly warm and welcoming and it is absolutely beautiful here. We are enthusiastic to get out on the field and see where we can help. Our schedule is that we will only be in Kampala until Wednesday, before heading out the Western region of the country where we will help with the Water Sanitation, Ministry, the MET program and the animal husbandry programs. Then in September, we head out North of the capital to help with the a UNHCR program, UNICEF program, and the ministry and HIV programs. Our schedule seems full, but we feel so blessed to be here and serving in Uganda. Pray for our travels around the country. We love and miss you all, and let us know how we can be praying for you too.

Animal husbandry?! What does that mean? That sounds like fun... do you get to play with meercats? Heather is going to be super jealous!

Seriously, though, I am so excited for you and Ruco. I can't wait to see pictures and hear all about your adventures! I love you!

My little Talemwa (Cathy) lives on the plains of Entebbe Katabi and Amanya (Simon)lives on the plains of Buhimba.......Let me know if you are near or in either of those places! How exciting!

p.s. let me know what a good gift to send would be......I can only send money or thin envelopes.
