Murchison Falls!

Last weekend, we were able to go to a national park with two of our favorite Canadians, Keren and Melissa. The park is famous for it's incredibly powerful waterfall and we were also able to see many animals, like giraffe and elephants. My favorite part of the weekend was going chimp trekking. We were able to see two chimps and watch one for quite a few minutes! They are quite amazing, and it was actually nice to share a first with Ruco since he had never seen the chimps before either.
Speaking of my husband, I am happy to have him back after a week of being near the Congolese/Ugandan border helping out assessing the needs of refugees there. It was just so strange not being together because we are almost always together! :)
We are still in Lira working with the Ministry Team. This week, we are focusing on the Chronological Bible Story Telling. I love this program. Many people in Uganda are illiterate so can't read the Bible for themselves. Still others don't own Bibles, so can't read/study them. This program gives people the opportunity to hear Biblical truths for the first time and learn more about the character of our God. People are REALLY enthusiastic and grateful for this program!
Next week will be our last week in Lira-we will be working with the UNICEF team. Then we will take our leave time and prepare to fly home! I cant believe how quickly our internship with SP has flown! I must say I am a little sad. I have grown attached to Uganda! However, I know that God will open a door for us after our internship ends. Pray for us that we would be given another opportunity to serve Him...and hopefully can settle in that place for a while!!! It's hard on me constantly growing attached to people and then packing up again!!

Did you take all these pictures?? They are so good!! I love all the animals, but then again, I am an animal lover! Ruco had never seen a chimp out in the wild before...that is surprising! I'm glad y'all got to experience that first together! =) I miss you so much! I hope your last week in Uganda is amazing!!

I can't believe you will be back so soon! I'm so excited :) But I'm afraid my little Kristi who once liked to talk about make-up and hair do's over lunch will be matured to a level above our usual conversation...hmmmm...

Nahhh, who am I kidding! Can't wait to see you!
