Back in Uganda!

Ruco and I have made it back safely in Uganda! The flights over were great..our plane to Amsterdam AND our plane to Uganda were empty..so we spread out and got some good rest! I actually had four seats to myself on the flight to Uganda, so could really stretch out! Ruco asked me later if I had eaten both meals on our last flight..and I was like 2 meals? Nope. I never heard the flight attendant come around once for food. I guess the mountain of blankets over me (including my face) deterred them from asking me about food! haha.
Now that we are here, we have been shopping and getting things for our place in Karamoja (more specifically we will be located in the town of "Moroto.") We picked out a sofa and two seats, a dining room table and chairs, and a coffee table yesterday. I am currently waiting on Ruco to pick me up (he went into the office) to go look for bedding and some fabric to have window treatments made. Can you even believe we will have our own little place in Uganda?!? woo hoo! I'm pumped about that!
Ruco has been talking and getting more info about what his responsibilities will be in his new role. I guess over the next couple of months, I will be collaborating with our friend Susan about ideas for ministry in Karamoja, and hopefully will be able to work in that capacity. The plan is to head over to Moroto on Monday or Tuesday. From my understanding, we wont have internet right away, but will hopefully be getting the satellite internet soon. Until then, we will have cell phones, and I will have to update those numbers on the blog here.
We miss everyone already, and will be sure to post soon on what our lives look like in Moroto, UGANDA!!!
