A couple of weeks ago, we had some friends come and visit us in Uganda. I went to high school with Gus and Crystal, and it was so fun to hang out with them. I was so glad we had an entire week with them. Even though we have done a great job at keeping in touch over the years, I felt like we really needed a whole week together to get to know one another again! Crystal was really a mentor figure to me in high school, and I loved talking to her then about my relationship with God (did not say "the Lord" for you, Tred). It was so good to dive right in again, and have those kind of talks again. It was also great to get to know her boyfriend, Mike. He is such a great guy!
Anyway, we did A LOT while they were here! They saw a good bit of Uganda. We went rafting down the Nile again (scary)!! Then, we went on Safari to Murchison Falls, and Crystal spotted a leopard up in a tree! She was an awesome safari guide! I had never seen a leopard before (apparently they are really shy). So that was an experience for all of us! We also drove them all the way to Karamoja to see where we live. It was so cool to share our lives with them, and so cool how interested they were in Karimojong culture!!
Anyway, thanks for coming guys, we LOVED having you come and visit! Can't wait to see where we will meet up next!

Aww! Crystal and Gustopher! :) It sounds and looks like y'all had an amazing time with them! Milkshakes, white water rafting, and a safari?! Basically, it's like 6:30 am here and I'm craving a milkshake now! :) Soo, how close do you get to the hippos? I heard they were very dangerous! But they are so cute looking!
I muss you so much! Looking at your pictures makes me soooo wish I too could take a trip to Africa! I love you my heart!

Its incredible the things you are able to see and do. I know there are challenges but God is definitely blessing you guys. Im glad you had some familiar faces around for a bit, even if it wasnt mine =)
