Ruco and I had such a fun weekend; on Saturday we went to the beach, Sidelines for lunch, and goofy golfing. Ruco had never in his 23 years heard minature golf called "goofy golf"..must be a southern thing! =) I always get a kick out of his foreign booty and the differences between us! Im sure that if we ever live in South Africa, everyone will make fun of the way that I say things too! I just love my little South African! Anyway, about that goofy golf, Ruco and I tied..we really did..before we started playing he said he would give me a handicap, but I didnt need it. When I wasnt twirling the club (is that what its called?) I was pretty darn good!! It was very fun, but also sooo hot, and I almost lost my hand to an alligator as seen below, after almost losing my eye to a crazy kitten this week! I really am a pirate! For those of you I didnt tell, our 6 week old kitten Zulu scratched my eye this week and I cried and carried on, missed a whole day of work, and even went to the emergency room. The next day I was fine, and felt really silly..haha! Now that Im recovered, I will definately miss Ruco calling me his "one-eyed bride!!!"
On Sunday, after church, we went to the GULFARIUM!!
Kaleb and Marti went a couple weeks ago, and after that, its all Ive wanted to do! I had never been and we were supposed to go last weekend, but if you didnt know, Rucos a SOCCER FREAK..seriously...he HAS to watch every game in the world cup, so we went this Sunday instead...no world cup then! It was way more fun than I even thought it would be!! There were 3 shows, a dolphin show, a sea lion show, and then a combination of the two..it was so cute!! Who knew Sea lions and dolphins were such great friends..they can do lots of tricks together and they even like to kiss.
The whole time we were there, I told Ruco that I wanted to be a dolphin trainer...he gets so mad at me because I tell him I want to do something different everyday...but I just cant help it!! Anyway, we had such a fun weekend and cant wait to have another day off of work on Tuesday for the 4th of July!!!
I think we are going to go over and see Emilys new house tonight, the word is that it is all painted and loooking great! Im soo excited to see it and know that Em did an amazing job picking out all the colors..she always does!! I also know from experience that Heather does an AMAZING paint job, so know that will be looking great as well!! Well, from the Van Der Merwes, have a wonderful 4th of July!! =)

you are the cutest girl. and the most retarded! haha, i told you like three times we were coming to jacksonville. and one time on the phone i said, tori just come over to jax, its only like 5 hours, and we can spend the fourth together there instead of cincy. i totally remember saying that! i really do miss you, and the short term memory loss that occurs ever now and then. i love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
