Ruco and I had a wonderful and relaxing weekend with our family and friends. We had a nice dinner at Founaris Brothers with Em and Chris on Friday, went to see "Invincible" with my parents on Saturday, and then fishing with Kaleb and Marti that night. On Sunday, we went over to my parents house and watched football and ate icecream! We had alot of fun and laughs. I do have a somewhat crazy story that happened Saturday afternoon. We were supposed to meet my parents for a movie, and as some of you know, I keep half my closet and my make-up in my car! Its such a bad thing, especially when I am trying to get ready in the morning, and am trying to figure out whats in my car/what I just cant find, etc. Anyway, so I decide I am going to get ready in the car since we are already running very late. Then, when we get to my car Ruco says, "Kristi, I tell you everyday to lock your car, and the door is WIDE OPEN!!" We both just shrug it off as me forgetful as usual, and we get in the car and head on our way. However, I notice something isnt quite right very quickly as my usual closet that lives in my car is gone! My car is cleaned out!

My make-up, shoes, CDS, everything is GONE! Ruco and I immediately stop the car, and do a thorough search, trying to figure out exactly WHAT has been stolen! My trunk was completely empty (which is never the case) and even my glove compartment is cleaned out! The final tally was the culprit had gotten away with clothes, shoes, CDs, our marriage license, the registration and insurance information to my car, and our spare change! Nothing was that big of a deal, but Ruco was very concerned about someone stealing my identity..I mean who wouldnt with my immaculate credit and good standing? But as it turns out, as I was sitting down to write this blog, I got a phone call from a lady who works at the Lawyers office next door. She called and said that she found some very personal information of mine on the office back door steps...yep, our marriage license and my car registration! Too bad he/she still got away with a few great cardigans and a couple pair of shoes! haha! Anyway, I decided these things are just meant to happen to me in life and at least this time a thief came knocking, I wasnt sitting in the drivers seat!! =)

So today was very sad. I am ADDICTED to watching 20/20 and ABC online news feeds. I can sit at my computer for HOURS watching these video clips! Anyway, today I watched all the videos, as Im sure alot of you have, of the familes who are still trying to cope from the loss of their loved ones five years later. I can not even begin to imagine the pain that comes along with losing a husband, child or parent. I know the day will come when I will have to deal with something like this, but I could never imagine losing someone in this way. In such a terrible act of violence and hatred. Still, the wives, parents and children who lost someone on 9/11 seem like they are very forgiving. One little girl who is now four, and whose dad died before she was born, said "my dad is a firefighter angel, and hes itty bitty, so tiny I can carry him around with me wherever I go..see, hes so tiny like as big as my finger." It was soo incredibly cute.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and by the way, the last picture of Ruco is him holding the most disgusting fish ever...for those of you whose husbands are fisherman, maybe they could tell us what this very slimy frog faced fish is! Also, the second picture is of the coolest coffee creamer container ever...the cream came out of the kittens mouth, i loved it. Ruco was mad at me in the picture bc his coffee was already full but i insisted on showing the camera how this little cat creamer worked!!! haha!

Hey Kristi! Sorry to hear about your car being broken into. That happened to me a couple of years ago!!! And the worst part was that it was the first week of school and they stole my backpack with all my new books, so I had to buy 'em again... and you know how expensive college textbooks are!!! Anyways, yes, I'm not a citizen (yet)... I was born in the Philippines and moved here when I was 15... If Ruco's going to get his fingerprints done today, then he'll probably go in for his interview in 2 months! I'm sure he'll do great! Have a good week!
You lost cardigans and shoes? My two favorite things? My heart is broken for you! NOT COOL!
