We are home!

Ruco and I are now in Pensacola after also spending some time in Louisiana visiting my family. It is a little surreal to be home. I had prepared myself for almost 2 1/2 years away, and now here we are! It has been so wonderful to be home and just relax. I have loved being able to be with my Grandmama and Auntie Kimberley and just having great girl time. I have also loved spending time with my family in Pensacola, and especially hanging out with my baby brother (7 years younger) and seeing how much he has grown emotionally and spiritually. I am so proud of him for the way he is so longing to honor God in his life and decisions. I am also excited for him as he is getting ready to move to Tallahassee for college! It’s crazy how much things have changed in the last 5 months.

Next Sunday is my best friend Jill's baby shower, and I am so excited to be home for that, and other exciting events that have taken place over the last few weeks! :)
Ruco and I are also very excited about Uganda, as much as we have LOVED being home. It's such a different feeling than I had before going to Gambia...perhaps I am less fearful. Overall, I just have such an awesome PEACE because I know that this is Gods plan for us...and along with that peace, comes such EXCITEMENT and joy.
I am also hoping Ruco and I gain a little more insight as to how we would like to serve long-term. I'm ready for this upcoming adventure and for seeing a different, greener, more cooler Africa than the one I came to know! :) Im mostly excited to get back to those babies I love!
