Besides just relaxing, we were able to go on a little ski (or sledding if you are accident prone like me) vacation in Switzerland. Ruco's parents live in the Black Forest area in Germany so we were able to go into France a bit and were only about 30 minutes from Basel, Switzerland. It was also nice to catch up with some friends who live in Germany..although we missed seeing Aron and his fiance Clara! We were able to meet up with Gus, Crystal, and Crystal's boyfriend Mike in Freiburg, Germany, and were also able to see friends we met in "The Gambia!" Tomorrow, our good friend Katie from college is also coming over from Stuttgart where she lives, to have lunch with us. It's so crazy how God has taken us in so many different directions, but then allows opportunities to meet up again in the most unlikely places.
We are already talking and getting sad about leaving on Tuesday. We are really going to miss our VDM family. They are just such an amazing gift to me, and I never take them or the opportunities they provide us for granted. I really am so grateful.
So...we will be back in the states again on Tuesday. We will be trying to get more accomplished this time in the way of preparing to go back to Uganda, but are also hoping to be able to catch up with more great friends we weren't able to see last time we were home. We will be praying we are able to see some of you there again real soon!

It looks like you've been having an amazing time with your VDM family!! I love how you call them mamma and pappa too! You can tell they love you like you were their very own daughter!! I miss you so much and I can not wait to see you this very week!!!!!!
