Sipi Falls

Last weekend, Ruco and I were able to sneak away (because of a polio campaign in town) and head to Sipi Falls (a beautiful town with waterfalls close by.) I know you are always supposed to say vacations are relaxing and amazing. But this one was EXACTLY what we needed. My poor husband who detests nap taking (I know—it’s sad really) slept for 3 hours every afternoon. We ate three course lunches and dinners every day, not to mention the colorful and huge breakfast! I am now officially 400 lbs. in case you were wondering. We were also able to take a beautiful sunset hike our first night, and then a serious hike the next day. We hiked all the way down to the bottom of the main waterfall, then back up to the caves, and up to the second waterfall. At the end, we took a dip in one of the natural swimming pools. It was beautiful, and a great time.
I have so much more on my mind that I would love to write about..but it seems so heavy compared to the vacation talk, so I will save it for another post!
I hope everyone is doing well. We love and miss you all!

I was just wanting my husband to hurry up to take a photo with me up there-but he got a nice shot anyway!

on top of the world!

These really are such beautiful pictures! What a beautiful place! I'm so glad you and Ruco were able to spend that time together in such an amazing setting! =) And you are so not 400 lbs! Cause if that's 400 lbs than I want to be 400 lbs too! You are just so cute and I miss you so much!

So, I've decided that I don't believe you and Ruco are REALLY saving the people of Africa... no not at all...I'm on to your little hoax. By my calculations you are in a small boarded up apartment or on a desserted island somewhere (same thing right?) and Ruco spends his days photo-shopping you two into amazing pictures he finds in national geographic.

You just wait till I start getting my subscription...I'm going to reveal your scam to the whole WORLD! muahahha.
