Home for the Holidays!

I was able to go home for Christmas! It was so wonderful! It had been almost 10 months since I had seen my family in Florida and Louisiana. While away, I had missed a wedding (my brother got married) and 3 of my best friends had babies. So much can happen in 10 short months!

I began my trip in Louisiana where I was able to see my family there.

SEE!

My best friend Jill came and picked me up in New Orleans, and we went to go and meet Brant for the very first time!

Then on to Pensacola to see my amazing family and friends there. While there, I met the other 2 beautiful babies for the first time, and spent so much great time with my mom. We needed some good one on one time together, and I was so thankful that we got it! Christmas was wonderful and relaxing, and it was so much fun having a kid around this year! I got a new niece when my brother married Ashley, and she is too cute!

And I got to meet this sweet girl for the very first time, and hang out with her cute mamma! Lyla is just the sweetest baby! I loved her oh so much, and it seemed she loved me too! It was love at first sight!!!!

Jill had a Christmas brunch for all of us girls, and I got to see Christi, Ashley, Emily, and Danielle for the first time in YEARS. I also got to meet sweet Charleigh for the first time! She is seriously so gorgeous.

SEE!

We also had a baby shower for my sister in law, Ashley. I will be getting a nephew soon! I can't wait, even though I am going to miss his arrival. I could probably start crying now thinking about that. What is wrong with me!??!?

I also got to see my friend Audrey, whom I hadn't seen since May 2007-when she was getting ready to leave for her 2 year stint in Japan with IMB. Audrey is FANTASTIC at keeping in touch, so I really couldn't believe it had been that long since we had seen one another! We had such a fun time together at the Chik Fil A! Our favorite place to go together!

Last but not least, I hadn't seen sweet Kennedy since she was 3 months old. Then she could barely sit on her own. Now, she is running all over the place: talking and laughing! She is so much fun with a BIG personality just like her mama! Here I am with Miss Kennedy!

SEE!

AND I still got mo' to sho' ya! ha!

My best friend from college, Shannon got married a few days ago. I had a WONDERFUL time at the wedding. I will have to dedicate a whole post to that one. Next time.

I love all of you, and am so thankful for your love and hospitality during my time home. I am so blessed to have so many amazing people in my life! See you next time! Back to Uganda I go! I am SERIOUSLY missing my husband!!!!
